"It's Everything"

It's Everything is a exploration through waves of hissy and noisy low fidelity landscapes. Sometimes its close to the 90s Boom Bap roots I came from and sometimes its well I guess genre less. Either way its the result of lots of experimentation.

I'm a little over a year into my Eurorack Modular journey and this album definitely is built around a lot of that sort of thing mixed with I Pad music apps as well at times. My favorite app for making music is Koala Sampler and there is definitely some of that on here. Also I've recently fell in love with the SP 404 Mk2 and you can here some of that on here as well. Lastly this project was mixed and mastered by myself again using my I Pad on Cubase 3. Outside of that and a few effects here and there the album is mostly dawless.

The Name

In the beginning of the year I set out to make 12 albums in 12 months. A crazy goal I know but I knew a lot of it would be experimental even Avante Garde to a degree. So I created a bunch of catagories/styles/moods/genres that I would make songs for. I made a lot of stuff but it was hard to finish a complete first album because my focus was everywhere. Now its close to the middle of March and I still had no album out. I also started realizing it's interesting when I hear albums where an artist just puts everything into it and doesn't hold back. I like hearing all the different influences and flavors come out and its interesting to hear them back to back and how each song compliments and contrasts each other. So I decided to change my approach hence the title "It's Everything"

The First

This is the first in hopefully many albums I put out this year. It's also the first Proper album under the name Planet Plex. I used to focus on being an emcee who made beats but that was a long time ago. These days its mostly about the beats and experimenting with electronic music in general. Hope you enjoy!
